View Full Version : Need help finding a mod for old-school Rainbow 6
Anyone remember the weapon mod's name for Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear that had the M31 Suomi SMG? Cant remember if it had only WW2 weapons or if it was a mix with modern/WW2 weapons.
Thaaaank you. :salute:

I have no idea. :hmmm: Oh well, I shall have a look then, if R6:RS works on a "newer" PC that is.

Worked fine on XP, not a clue about Vista. :06:

I believe it was just the World War II weapons mod. I remember that that particular gun was rendered a bit...optimistically, compared to the rest, though.
Woot! R6 works perfectly on win7 without any patches or fixes!!
Tho, I managed to somehow cluster**** the ww2 mod installation as my new weapons seems to be firing blanks. Quite a brave feeling staring at 7 terrorists when you're weapon is only good when thrown at them. :haha:

Oh no! Dowly, you have given me a reason to reinstall Rogue Spear on my Win 7 machine, my one really big addiction on the PC. :yep:
Best Mp I have had playing in a team, brutally nerve wrecking and intense games, and really fun coop. A modern remake would rock. None of this later RS games really delivered the original feeling.

Aye, I agree. The moment Ubisoft hopped to the driver's seat the series went downhill from the word go. It lost all the hardcore gameplay that the old Red Storm games had.
Never tried the MP tbh, but I spent hours and hours playing the terrorist hunt and watching the replay afterwards. Especially the death animations are superb! Really looks like something actually hit the guy.
When I read the title "old shool Rainbow 6" I thought you meant the very first game which came out before Rogue Spear Dowly. I tried to get this working on Win XP but unfortunately I was not successful
That's weird. I believe all the old RS6's were made with pretty much the same engine. :hmmm:
You mean you can run Rainbow 6 on Windows XP Dowly? (I don't mean Rogue Spear, I don't even own that one so I can't tell if it would still run on my rig).

I remember getting so excited when I saw the enemy team 'round the corner I immediately opened fire...with my teammate more or less in front of me. I fired. They fired. My teammate took about 15 rounds.
I did kill the two bad guys though...

:rotfl: Poor guy, that'll teach him to get out of the firing line. I guess you were always the one on point after that. :hmmm:

Only have tried the Rogue Spear and on Windows 7, so if it runs under 'Vista' conditions, it should run just fine with XP too. You might want to try google, I'm sure someone knows how to make it run.
"man down, man down" , "oughh"
oh crap... plan goes down the drain. :)
The other day I finally got my R6 Raven Shield running flawlessly on my rig (FPS were okay but the game still was lagging like in slow motion, it turned out some questionable options in the Catalyst control center were to blame for this).
So is anyone still playing this in multiplayer? Is there even a way to play it online without the crappy Ubisoft login (Hamachi maybe)?
