I have read the RFB manual and it has many interesting facts, but one thing it does not contain is an in-game "how-to" readme.

The threads are probably full of information about how to accomplish the missions in RFB, but it isn't easy trying to find those threads - I know, I've been searching for days.

Would it be possible for someone who has gone through all the missions to put a document together showing where the threads are, OR better yet, just list how to take photo's, drop off agents, and any other hot keys to accomplish all requirements not listed in the manuals? It would make life so much more enjoyable, and cut way down on me making holes in my office walls :damn:

Seriously, it might even qualify for a sticky.

And does the game tell you if you succeeded in the mission? Mine didn't, it just sent me on mission 2.

And just one last question: does every mission go all the way to Honshu Island? I've seen Honshu. What about Honolulu? Honolulu has nice beaches, pretty flowers, soft music, and...well... you know. Surely it's important that we have some R & R???:03: (HEY! Is that modable?)

Some of your mission mechanics are probably pop-ups and such. I haven't played RFB a lot, but my first mission in Dec41 was to drop off an agent - in Manila! (Geez, guys, just have him walk from his hotel....) Anyhow, there was the usual orange star on the beach. Motored to beach. When close to star, a pop-up was displayed, letting me drop off the agent (have fun!). Ignored the grinding metal noises against my keel, reversed at 1/3, got turned around, and went on to bigger and better things (gee, I have a date to be sunk in two days and the IJN will be so disappointed if I'm a no-show).

Keep in mind that modders cannot change the hardcoded software. Most modders are modifying databases and textfiles. The UI mechanics are mostly hardcoded, so UI displays and such are going to be the same as stock.

Although this was written for the 'vanilla' game it still holds true for the most part with RFB.
