Freshly transferred from their triumph against the Allies in Sicily, the Lolwaffles now find themselves against the Soviet hordes trying to push the embattered German army back into the Black Sea, or are the Germans pushing the Soviets back into the Black Sea, High Command was not so sure.

Most of them arrived by uboat, shipped secretly through the Bosporus, traumatised by spending several weeks locked up in a confined space....with Schroeder, however Hunter, who was working on his Motorcycle licence, wisely, decided to go by road.

He arrived on time, although his first complaint was the heat:

Once they had settled in and found the latrines, Schultz arrived and unveiled their aircraft, some Heinkels with no bombs, 110s...with no bombs, and the infamous G6!

On the first mission, the group took off and found that the ebil Communists (TM) had outsourced the VVF to the British and Americans, with IL2s in USAAF markings and P-51s thrown into the mix, mass confusion and destruction ensued.
The second mission was a recon mission to observe a strange Soviet construction, Oberon climbed into the back of Hunters 110 and made 99 red balloons into 98.

The strange Soviet construction was soon revealed to be a series of land bridges, with some tanks around it, the tanks were strafed and anti-air defences removed and a return to base began. Oberon resisted the urge to make 98 red balloons 97.
The Third mission started twice, the first went horrendously wrong when Oberon met a 109 coming the other way down the same runway he was taking off from. Schultz was duly summoned and a second attempt was made. This time Red Max stayed at base and played a selection of patriotic songs from the wireless over the radio, part aiding in morale, part jamming the squadron frequencies. Task Force snuck into the rear gunner position of Oberons 110, after Schroeder made beckoning gestures and tried to lure him into his aircraft with candy.
Although, perhaps Task Force would have been better to have risked his life in Schroeders hands as he found out why so few people fly Oberon Air.
After flying through the center of a 109 formation, Oberon dove on the Land Bridge, exceeding 650km/h, due to the shaking he was concerned something might have fallen off, but the only thing that left the aircraft was Task Forces lunch. A flak-truck and two armoured cars were slain but one of them managed to heavily wound Task Force who saw the world through a thick red mist as Oberon flew at Oleg tree level back to base before the Mustangskis came down to play.

There is something you NEVER EVER should do and thats called ''Shoulder shooting'' that can get you Kicked and Banned on most public servers and for good reason they do.

if you see a friendly already chasing a enemy fighter DO NOT SHOOT over his Cockpit to hit the enemy, there is a Risk you hit a friendly that way.
because I was trailing this I-185 getting in firing range till I saw blue tracers fly all around my cockpit, looking on my six and saw you. you may know I was typing the console commands to kick you out of the server.
there are certain things that can make me very mad, shouldershooting is one of them and you came to notice that in the groundstrafing at you.

biggest infraction you can commit in IL2 MP is shouldershooting a Player aircraft on the same team. I'm fine if you do this with the AI as they will do the same to you, but you NEVER EVER do this to anyone of the same team.
we don't tell you to stop shouldershooting Task Force, you simply NEVER do such action.

Task Force already had his punishment, I strafed him on the ground for the shouldershooting.I could have shot him out of the air if I wanted but was to busy fighting the IL2 console but I wasn't able to kick him off because if it did work he would have been off shortly after the shouldershooting(*now I can, found a different command line to kick people off)

Shouldershooting is a serious infraction, especially if the one is flying a cannon armed warbird (I.E FW190, or BF109 with MK cannon) if you hit the friendly once or twice he either is blown to bits or heavily damaged...now if that happens at the sudden that your screen goes black with the text ''Player1 was shot down by Player 2'' I could undestand anyone going very mad and if that happens I might suspend you from day(s) flying.

if your following a friendly who is chasing a enemy you wait your turn.
if people get to close or are about to overshoot the enemy they break away...now the target is open for you but out of common courtesy..ask if you may finish him off, in my case I don't mind if you want to take a shot..just remember I will be following you untill you either shot down the enemy or break away too so I can go at it again myself.

Yup, they were pretty dumb last night. If I would've had enough ammo, I would've gotten 4 kills on planes that did absolutely nothing even as I was right in their tail blasting them with my guns. :nope:

Anywho, the skin is black/dark grey without any camo pattern, IIRC blue/grey bottom and with dark red rudder. Also, between the top wings, there should be an blue circle saying FBS or something like that.

Lolwaffles mission one:

Bomber escort back from the collection point.
Jumped by Russkie fighters on the way, and then received a surprise visit from Pe-8s upon the bombers landing. HunterICX and Red Max recarpetted their He-111 brown as bombs exploded around them. Dowly, Task Force and Oberon climbed up to intercept and each received a broken 109 for their troubles. Task Force and Oberon were killed, Dowly bailed out. Xabba landed safely, as did Schroeder.

Mission two:

Bombing attack on enemy airbase.
Schroeder, Hunter and Oberon took He-111s with 20 SC-70s, the rest took a mixture of 109s and 190s. Task Force knocked a wheel off whilst taxing to take-off and spent the rest of the mission on the ground. The team made it through the fighters, but Schroeder took hits and had to turn back. Red Max, as Oberons tailgunner nailed a fighter as it tried to sneak up on them although IL2 bizarrely gave the kill to Oberon. Oberon lined up and calculated up his bombsight cheerfully, and set the airspeed too low and overshot the aircraft refueling pad completely, Hunter on the other hand nailed it and destroyed eight enemy aircraft on the ground. The two then RTB'd uneventfully, despite Task Force warning Red Max of lengthy medical bills...a pile-up on the runway was narrowly avoided as 109s and 111s tried to land at the same time from different ends of the runway, fortunately after a quick warning from Oberon, the 109 'nicht landen' and went around.

I don't know about that, I would have switched to Schroeder's plane so I would of done a full rotation as a gunner. One flight in Hunter's plane, then Oberon's and then Schroeder's.

Aye, I was the one killed on the 1st sortie, my engine caught on fire and in a split-second it exploded.

EDIT: Checked the track and Task Force bailed out succesfully from his battered plane.

The examinators (2 of them) where horrible....
they have walky talky to tell eachother as they are on both ends of the track when a student on a motorbike makes a error.

but after a error they go at eachother to discuss it???
its DELAYING the whole exam and what for? they can discuss it through the bloody walky talky no?...and the longer you wait...the nervous you get.
and the other examinator a women sometimes walked away from her position to have a quik word with a different colleague (who does the Trucker exam) delaying the exam even moooore....

so finaaaaaaaally its my turn, and the first thing was my most hated part of the whole track is zigzag between the poles on a terribly SLOW speed.

Mission One:
The Lolwaffles scrambled in Bf109s and Fw-190s to replace a broken He-111 fleet (obviously High Command have now realised that bombers work better with bombs) and attack some ships, trains and ground convoys along the other side of a nearby lake. On the way back, Kratos was jumped by fighters and destroyed, Xabba took heavy damage and had to RTB. As the final run was made to the airbase, some AI snuck into the formation and caused havoc, Xabba put down on the main runway and Lolwaffled it, so the rest of the group came in on the taxi-way.

Mission Two:
SCRAMBLE!!
Trapped in a pocket created by advancing Soviet forces, the Lolwaffles had to scramble under duress as the traitorous Task Force lead a formation of Pe-8s on an attack on the airbase as the Lolwaffles took off.
Oberon attempted to take-off too fast, skidded off the runway and smashed himself up, the rest of the group managed to get into the air and Hunter took down the traitorous Task Force but at a cost, both of his engines took hits, as did his fuel tanks. His engines both gave way within sight of his destination airbase, however the airbase was on a hill and he glided into the side of it in a perfect Lolwaffle landing.
Star of the show was the AI 109 White 14, who singlehandedly destroyed the entire Soviet airforce.

Nothing wrong wrong with it, but I still cant really figure why we dont stick with DCG campaigns. I mean, the only thing different in our custom campaigns have been custom briefing and of course, fewer planes. Nothing wrong wrong with it, but I still cant really figure why we dont stick with DCG campaigns. I mean, the only thing different in our custom campaigns have been custom briefing and of course, fewer planes. The missions are the same, bombing, CAP, escort with the exception of few fake bombing missions without bombs.

DCG does not guarantee to see action even with 100 planes per side, sometimes you miss the enemy by miles as they are either all TRANSFERING somewhere on the others side of the map or they have completly different flightpaths.
DCG does not give you any worthy targets to bomb with medium sized bombers, DCG pulls out a whole pack of bombers to destroy AAA around a Fricking Airbase.
DCG has the horrible tendency to do repeative missions, whats next? ow transfer...and next Transfer again...oops frontline changed so we transfer again. or..its the 3th time in a row I must intercept the Pe-2's attacking that town.
DCG does not always end or the end is not in sight which make it rather boring after a while.
also DCG missions dont follow up, the things you do do not have effect.
in the hand made campaigns, for example in the current one. we headed out with 109's to a different airbase, picked up HE111's and headed back and after that we did a bombing run with the HE111's.

IIRC, the primary complaint was the transfer, transfer, transfer missions.

I think the enemy AI level needs to be looked at in the FMB as at the moment they are all donkeys.

I had an F4F fly right in front of me. The only reason I didn't shoot it down was because I thought it was an Fw-190 and I wanted to check its wing markings first. Then it turned off and I lost it.

He didn't even try to engage.

Sure I like getting kills and am now an ACE but still I like to work for them.

I think the AI skill is randomized...every plane in a group has different skill levels. (at least how they are set with the German aircraft in this campaign)

the Hellcat I shot down was quiet a easy one, but there was one sitting on my tail holding on and blazing his guns at me, Task Force got me rid of that one.

the Corsair I shot down as my 2nd kill was going nuts in front of my gunsight.

Yes, lost all input and the plane kept on rolling to the left until it splashed. Seems to work again now after a reboot (didnt help re-plugging and restarting IL2 :doh:).

Mission One:
Convoy interception
110s, 109G6s and 190s headed over the frontlines to intercept lots of truck convoys and some trains. Hunter did well for himself on the train front and got one of the Russkies fighters which tried to intervene. Oberon ditched his bombs on the convoy, killed on car and then a tank got a lucky shot through his engine and messed it up completely.
One fire later and wounded, Oberon headed for the coast to try and get some flat land under him in case the engine went again, however a second fire heavily wounded him and then blew the engine up :damn:

Mission Two:
Bombing raid/Escort
111s, escorted by 109s and 190s bombed a random castle which contained a plethora of tanks, Raptor had to make three runs at it, but he knocked out some of the target and Hunter and Oberon then barnstormed it back to the base, Oberon shot down two Zeppelins and then a group of enemy aircraft drones flew over, Oberon shot down one and then RTB'd Lolwaffle style, the AI 111 which was landing behind him showing some intelligence by steering around the debris Oberon scattered across the runway. Hunter came in too fast and sped off the end of the runway, landing up on his roof. :hmmm:

All I have to say is that the 110's reargun sucks balls! It's a darn peashooter! Without a hit right between the eyes of the enemy pilot you'll end up expending ALOT of ammo before the enemy goes down. I had 2 instances where I scored good hits on some La7's, did they go down? Nooooo. :shifty:

If the TS server is ever down (other than through a fault that is beyond my control) I occasionally reboot prior to 9pm GMT to guarantee the maximum bandwidth.
