The No. 5: 'sailing rocks' one has me baffled.
Cool! :yeah: Saw that gravity wave phenomena last summer. Tho, wasnt that strong, but one could easily see that the cloud layer was kinda wavy.

Pretty cool pics in there, and that sailing rock thing is downright bizarre.
I wonder why ball lightning didn't make the list....:hmmm:

That's not a proper gravity wave. It should be called an air wave. A gravity wave is a stellar pehmnomenon which is caused by the movement of an object in space. As an object moves, spacetime ripples just like sometime moving through the ocean ripples the water around it. There are currently two earthbound gravity wave detectors as well as a mission to launch three spacecraft to look for gravity waves as well.
:know:
I suspect that the sailing rocks and the hums are hoaxes. I've seen and read a lot about the hums and it seems to be in the same boat as the UFO/Contrails/Government Conspiracy stuff. I've NEVER seen evidence of one of these hums actually detected by reputable scientists.
This site claims to have an explanation for sailing rocks.
Seems quite reasonable...

I have wintessed ball lightning up close and personal. Its not very photogenic :rotfl:. If it could be photographed it should be on the list.

Seems most reasonable.... but still way cool! :yeah:
Seen the sailing rocks with my own eyes. Never seen them move, of course. But I have been to Racetrack Playa and there's no way it's a hoax, as the link August posted will attest. But, it is remarkable in person. Mind numbing....

Have you tried talking to them? Maybe these aliens are just shy?
:D
To blacklight
the correct name for those waves are gravity waves. What you are thinking of are called gravitational waves. The two rearly get mixed up as they have little to do with each other, but at times one can get abit confused.
