Strange bug? missing qualifications

Before I embarked on my 4th patrol of my current career I changed the settings so that I would be playing with map updates off for the first time,to see whether I would like it,or cope with it even.It seems that I am not quite ready for map updates off just yet so I reloaded my game back to the save point just before leaving base,so I could revert back to my old settings.However,when checking upon my crew before I left I noticed that one of my newly appointed radiomen had lost his qualification that I had given him before.I checked in the qualifications section,but no,it was gone :down:

Is this a recognized problem?

When did you give him the Qualification? Immediately after returning to port from your last patrol or just before you set sail on your 4th patrol?

Basically, SH3's 'In base after patrol' is pretty much the same as 'In base before patrol'. I was never quite sure why they put in those different but same save states.:doh:

I always assign medals/quals etc straight after a patrol.Once that is out of the way I can prepare for the next one.
Maybe I should have loaded up the 'after last patrol' and not 'before new patrol' :nope:
I also forgot to mention,I had 2 promotions which had been saved,but not the qual.
Never mind.I can live with it,just means I have to aqquire a new patrol to give him his old qual.
