WOW great gunners

Last night I was coming up on 4 jap fishing boats and trying to decide if I wanted to take them out with the AAA when the deck gunners opened up by themselves..We were not at GQ...They just started shooting by themselves....:hmmm:

There should be a 'Fire at Will' button on the deck gun tab. Disable it if you don't want the gunners to fire as soon as there's a target in sight.

Ok but I thought the boat had to be at GQ for the guns to be manned??

I bet you clicked on the man the deckgun icon at some point that will also have the gun crew start firing if they are at fire at will without being at GQ.You did one or the other there is no way for the crew just to appear on any of the guns without you knowingly or unknowingly giving the the command to do so via GQ or by clicking man the guns it cant just simply happen out tof the blue you hit something.Also turn off fire at will for the deckgun or they will fire at targets sometimes. Same goes for the AA guns make sure you order fire at will for them other wise even if they are manning the AA they wont fire at planes.In other words for the deckgun fire at will off for the AA guns fire at will on. Then you can have control of the deckgun crew and they will only fire when you command the target this will over ride hold fire.
