More than welcome. :salute:
IMO all good titles, but I figured in particular some news about a new Thief would be well received, from reading other threads. :yep:
Sounds like a bunch of linear storyline games. *goes back to his fun non-linear games.*

It's just impossible to please some people! :rotfl:
Even in "non-linear" games you wind up following plot lines eventually. :yep:

There are some "sandbox" games with no pre-built objectives, plots or
anything else to guide the player, but not many in the mainstream.
Mainstream games are getting more and more unattractive anyways, linear or non-linear.

They're few and far between, but good games still come around every once in a while. I'd say they're rare, but not that they're getting more and more unattractive. :hmmm:
Well, apart from the companies treating customers as potential criminals, but that trend seems to be declining a bit.

I don't think good games are becoming all that much more rare then they ever were, though during this recession they will probably decline a bit as nobody will be willing to take many risks.
Anyhow I am looking forward to Thief 4, I'm hoping it will be more open world/sandbox, but with a good storyline you can follow as you want.

Thief games have always been like that, nothing wrong with it.
*Now officially confirmed.

God I hope they don't screw up Thief 4. I'm already disappointed that the logo is spelled THI4F. Please don't be a dumbed down P0S.:wah::zzz:
Go to Thief4.com and tell me if you think this douche knows what he's saying,"Presently the only asset that we're able to release is the logo, which we're pretty proud of as it's very respectful of the franchise and you can recognise it very rapidly,"
Personally, THI4F makes no sense. wtf is it supposed to be. How can they be proud of it. It's nothing! At least they got the font right.

If so they are idiots, Thi4f in 'leet' speak is Thiaf :P It would have worked with thief 3 though , Thi3f.
As for story driven, thats fine and expected, but it would be cool to have open world aspects more expanded then what thief 3 had.

Thief 4 Developer Interview http://www.incgamers.com/Interviews/183/Thief-4-Developer-Interview
Summary of interview by Deathspiral;
Here is a summary of the interview:
Q: So how far along the development process are you at the moment?
A: We've barely started
Q: What platform will it run on?
A: I have no idea.
Q: Will any of the people at Looking Glass Studios, you know, the ones that actually made the game good, be working on this one?
A: no
Q: So, what's the gameplay going to be like?
A: I have no idea.
Q: You have no idea?
A: no.
Q: Okay... What about the plot, you said that was finished?
A: I have no idea.
Q: Okay... Any idea if the game is going to be similar in feel to the old games or not?
A: I can't say.
Q: Hmm... I'm confused, this is supposed to be a three page interview and you haven't said anything at all yet. Perhaps you can tell us what you CAN talk about?
A: "Presently the only asset that we're able to release is the logo, which we're pretty proud of as it's very respectful of the franchise and you can recognise it very rapidly, and once we have other types of assets we'll make them publicly available."
Q: A... logo? You have been working for six months and you can tell us you have a logo?
A: "We're pretty proud of it"
Q: Hmm... Well... I still have one and a half pages to go. Could you tell us anything else?
A: "We'll have a virtual boutique where you can buy merchandise from these two projects and this is something that we're really proud of."
Q: You, a video games development company, are "very proud" that you managed to set up a cafepress store?
A: absolutely!
Q: So you know nothing whatsoever about the game, the franchise or even what a console is, so you decided to spend the entire interviw talking about your logo and "social media" to hide your ignorance?
A: you got it!
Q: Any last words?
A: "As you may have noticed, we now have a forum up and running for Thief 4, and I said to my guys “I really want to have a forum at the very early stages,” because I want people to have a medium with which they can express their wishes, their expectations, and what they would like and not like to happen with the next Thief. Obviously we've started work, but it's always very important for the developers to be close to the community. We're listening to these people because they are very hardcore fans, and we want to bring the Thief 4 franchise to a new level, so the challenges are huge!"

Since everyone who has ever worked on the Thief series has been fired right in the middle of Thief's blockbuster sales (what logic is this? Dunno, but it has happened every time a THief game came out - the dev team was fired shortly after regardless that it is selling like hotcakes), how much anyone want to wager the dev team gets fired on Thief 4 too? Its like tradition or something.
