Meh. Not the full version.
I remember when they ran the uncut version in serial form over five weeks. That is years ago now.

What does amuse me with Das Boot and other films is the various translations of the German. For example, in the DVD I have, when the news of the convoy comes through which eventually results in them running into that single destroyer (you know where I mean), the engineer flames off some fuel, and someone from up the front walks through and in one version says:

"What a way to waste fuel, eh?"

and in tonights version says:

"Having fun down here?"

:har:

Make up your minds!!! :haha:

AMC put the director's cut version on like a year or two ago. Other than commercials, they didn't cut ANYTHING out of it.

Oh I can understand falling asleep through it, the last part when they are in the Med does drag a bit, especially when you have seen the movie a hundred times like we all have :D

I've always foundthe uncut Das Boot to be a favorite to run in the background while playing because of it's length. Ken Burn's documentary, The Civil War also gets the same treatment when I'm playing ACW games.
