I've never had this problem before, but now i have really bad shimmering (if thats the correct word) Or swirling/moving textures on the deck of my sub.
Its only seen when the camera is far enough away to fit the full sub on screen and is only on the main deck (the deck sections with the lines)

I'm using nhancer follwing the settings posted in the nvidia tweaks thread.

Like i said, i've never had this problem before and the only thing thats changed is that i have updated to the latest TMO add on from the previous version.

Can anyone help?

Keith.

Is it possible what you're seeing is water reflections on the deck, ect..? I don't use TMO, but I believe this mod uses one of the environmental mods that produces such reflective effects. Mabey post a screenshot so others could see what you're seing.

i also have the 8800GT and i use nhancer and noticed in the options menu grafics section it was set to low so i changed it to high and got those light reflections on my stock game so i guess you could see if changing that setting helps you

What your probably experiencing is Moire' patterns.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moir%C3%A9_pattern

I have them to some degree, I assume that everyone does to one degree or another.

Thanks for your help.
I don't think i could show the problem too well with a screen shot, as it looks ok while still, its moving textures, moving up and down the deck in swirls as th boat moves.

I have the TMO stern deck gun mod and the problem looks like a mip map layer problem, so i'm wondering if anything has been done to the deck textures like layers been removed for this mod.

I've never noticed this problem before in all my many hours of playing this game, but after reinstalling everything and the latest TMO with stern deck guns, i noticed it right away as soon as i loaded up the game and went to external view. Its bad enough for me to either stop playing the game or not use external view.

I am going to try deactivating mods and see if that fixes it.

I dont think its the mods although its not out of the realm of possibility.

I see the Moire's on my decking under the right lighting conditions. Just never bothered me all that much.

I've seen many screen shots posted here, and this is the strangest, most unique thing I've seen. While this is certainly not my area of expertise, I would suggest disabling nhancer and go back to default settings and compare from there. If you still have the issue, reinstall the video drivers. If the problem goes away, slowly increase the desired settings in nhancer one step at a time until you can identify the problem. BTW, as far as I know, you shoud not go beyond 4x antialiasing. Certain things such as the sun's halo will dissappear.

first you need to clean out jsgme to be sure its not corrupting things with bad backup files.

uninstall all your mods and move them to the desktop one at a time DO NOT do a "move all files together" thing or you will defeat the purpose of doing all this.

now with all your mods removed from it go ahead and delete the "MODS" folder. it has invisable backup files that can get corrupted so you want to make sure you start over with a fresh empty backup file. thats why you didnt want to do a "move all files together" thing.

next run jsgme to let it create a new one and put your mods back in it.

reinstall your mods and run the game and recheck everything.
