What a waste of Grant Money from MIT.

Another case of the "NUTS" running the Asylum. :haha:

When money is tight then, this.

personally, i have never once played WOW.

I only know one person who plays it routinely... his skin is amazingly pale, and his conversation inevitably drifts to WOW.

one of my best friends was this person's room mate in college... he said that in the summer or spring breaks when there were no classes... it was common to only catch a glimpse of him emerging from his room to grab food or go to the bath room... occasionally he would go days without showering.

a lot of us could be the same about our subsims.

but i for one have not touched a subsim in 2 weeks. furthermore... i almost never talk about it to random people at parties or dinners :haha: (unless they have expressed interest in the subject)

I played WoW for a while but I never found it that addicting. The amount of time required to grind for exp or items just isn't worth it. Plus, it is infested with disagreeable little punks who think caps lock is cruise control for awesome.

Sounds like this WoW game is more geared for the land of NERDS and GEEKS. :har:

well in every day life... this particular person i know would not normally be someone i would place in the geek / nerd category.

that said...

i think that a majority of the wow crowd is made up of "nerds and geeks"... not that there is anything wrong with that.

but think of it this way... WOW allows a player to assume a role and become something in fantasy that he is not able to be in reality. there are certain personality types to which this is most appealing. and when this fantasy is fed - it can grow to become an addiction.

Was just throwing some levity into this thread.

No personal attacks were meant or intended. :DL

There is no question that WoW is aimed at the lowest common denominator, and gets it.

That being said I've had my fair share of ... well.. difficult people in other MMO's. Its the whole anonimity thing. Act like an ass without fear of reprisal.

Not especially for EVE, but it is a start at least..

I dumped wow few days back thought i never would after nearly 3yrs of playing this game on a weekly basis. But ever since the WOTLK expansion came out i kinda was getting bored of it but still played on even though they added in a lot of xtra stuff like the DK class, achievements/new raids yet still it is a dying game its like with every expansion Blizzard brings out wow gets worse not better. Just before i quit, the tournament was added into the game with patch 3.1 where u can dual on your mounts but not even that helped i quit the day after.

Now i play Warhammer online! :har: And i must add its a far better game than wow! Witch hunters

PS: anyone wanna buy a Wow acc my hunter lvl 80 has both Spirit beasts pets not easy to get hold off, and has pvp hateful gear, 450 in both professions mining/engineering, to many other not so important stuff to mention. ACC is US. Server is Azshara. :)

Nothing personal but this is one of the main issues with mmorpgs.

Dont worry about actually accompliishing things yourself, just buy it. Instant gratification.

I used to play, got up to level 45, its fun but meh, I kinda want to play it again but my graphics card won't let me (yay ati2dvg infinite loop)

My Father however plays it while he's on the road, (Truck Driver), and has managed to get to 75.

The main issue with it is the Grind in my eyes, I just can't do it.

Its not really as bad as everyone says though, but it seems like alot of people who get into it get sucked in too deep.

I used to play WoW alot. It is a fun game. Never got addicted or anything. Right now I am in the middle of a prolonged break from it. Games like that do get a bit repetitive.

Now, as to the Frau. She is addicted!!

The only thing that has gotten her away from WoW is her new addiction: Those stupid games on facebook

Oh the shame of it all. What happened to the sweet intelligent women I fell in love with almost 15 years ago?

Facebook games! sheeesh.

And she as the nerve to harass me about my sub sim games. Yeah, I have a computer and a stopwatch and paper and cheatsheets. That's what makes sub sims so fun to play. You have to think through them and not just spam magic buttons. :har:

But I love her. :yeah:

but there are worse addictions...

That's amazing! That is the exact same thing that got my then-girlfriend to stop playing.
It was a lifesaver. I was getting tired of having to run back and use Res orbs on her.

But I love her. :yeah:

Glad to hear it still worked out:up:

You might be in trouble if she ever reads this sentence, though. On a lot of levels. :o

Ah she does not know about this site and since she has zero interest in submarines (WHAT?) I am safe....for the moment.

I was very lucky that I found her. In the Frau I found all the characteristics I ever wanted in a woman

Intelligence
Beauty
Very low standards in men

would Eve online pod be more acceptable?

I used to play WoW, its a good game don't get me wrong, I leveled my Druid up to 70 quite happily... but then the whole Arena PvP thing just got lame. So I headed back to EVE Online which is just pure awesomeness.... alliance PvP is just so much more fluid and dynamic. Instead of grinding Alterac Valley or Warsong Gulch 100 times for a pair of freaking boots!

Perhaps they could make one in the shape of a Jove Capsule! That would be interesting lol :rotfl:

I think the main question to ask is if the toilet seat built into the throne is heated for those long cold winter nights while playing and is it also padded.:D

DARK CRAG  My highest char Witch hunter is only a lvl 8  as ive been trying other characters till i decide what i will stay as, i like any ranger or melee classes, not so keen with spell casters. Once i make up my mind i will then start grinding my life away.
