Report of counter-espionage efforts

Haha, just tried the U-2, what a great plane! Practised convoy busting and as the plane was so darn slow, I just decided to switch the time fuse to 10sec, land just infront of the convoy, turn my plane around, drop the bombs and take off. :har:

I wonder if you can fly it if you lose both of the top wings? One of the convoys, shot them off my plane, but unfortunately didnt get back into the air as my pilot got killed.

Isn't it just? The Kukuruznik is a lovely little piece of kit for ground missions, solid, steady and if you've got enough height you can throw her around a fair bit :yeah: Heck I did a loop and a barrel roll whilst returning to base just to check out how well she could handle it. :salute:
Just a shame that it doesn't have any MGs to go with the bombs, then we could kill more fascisti! :arrgh!:

After reviewing the data from the Oberon Case, we have learned several important pieces of information on Fascist activity inside Memel.

Our spies have spotted several important buildings used by the Fascists to defend the city while evacuations are processed. One of our reconnaissance aircraft has taken the following picture this morning:

The marked points are as follows:

1. The bombed remains of the Memel harbor, whether it is completely out of operation has yet to be determined

2. This is the confirmed location of the Fascist propaganda station

3. This bridge appears essential to the overland evacuation effort through the Curonian Spit

4. Our spies have confirmed that one of the ships in the convoy that managed to get through was carrying something called "Luftwaffles", we believe that this material is essential to the Fascist war effort. The entire shipment of "Luftwaffles" was unloaded and stored in this area

5. Limited supplies are sent from this junction to most of the rest of the pocket

6. We believe that a relay station is located in the woods here

7. The Fascist Headquarters is probably located in this block

The Oberon Case is being cleaned by SMERSH right now, rest assured that whoever else is connected to this will be found and dealt with.

At First it was thought to be a mayor mistake by an incompotent Russian Navy as HunterICX described,
Comrade Raptor reminded him that all compartments of the Red Army are the same , incompotence does not exist amongst us and is totally overated.

Later reports explained it was the work of Ukranian saboteurs that didn't open fire when the convoy aproached and they let them pass untouched.

The Russian Airforce was required to strike the convoy with our people's IL2 T ''Torpedo Bomber''
Gulagwaffles bravely took up this task and led the IL2's into the attack.

During the attack horrible sabotage has been discovered, on theory by the people's Torpedo research facility this torpedo must be able to take down a fascist ship with just 1 hit, but in after action reports by the gulagwaffles the fascist ships where damaged but where able to continue their journey.
Comrade Raptor answered the people's press ''We know which factory these torpedo's came from and a immediate change of the factory's employees has been applied''

further details are not neccesary to be known, all Gulagwaffle pilots made it safely back to base and celebrated the dificult but glorious victory with Vodka.
Comrade Kratos drank the whole vodka supply before the rest of the Gulagwaffles finished their first glass.

Okay, how about this: We'll ask for volunteers and then let each one do a small semi-historical campaign (4-8 sorties) about a specific engagement in sequence, that way we'll keep things moving and not restrict ourselves to what a single person can come up with

EDIT: Now that I think about it, we can decide on an operation or a battle, and then let different people do specific parts of it (So, we could, for example, decide we're running the Battle of Stalingrad, and then do small campaigns about the German attack, Operation Uranus, Operation Winter Storm and so forth...)

Sadly i'm going to have to miss a few flight nights till i decide what the hell i'm going to do about this UI1.1. Like Schroeder im experiencing some wierd stuff.
ie: control panel,half the bloody text is in russian ''only when i'm online'' offline its all English and i found the power10 button to assign for bomb bay doors.

assigned keys in the control panel reverting back to default when leaving the game

still having probs with the custom skins,hence ive been using stockskins. but stock and v1.0 there fine.

also when using 1.1 some missions/campaigns are like slideshows, they should be running like butter of a knife with this current rig..2x1gig 9500gt in sli mode with 8gig of ram :hmmm: yet stock or v1.0 runs smooth as silk.

So it looks like im going to have to spend a bit time disabling mods one at a time till i get the game running the way i want.

The only issue I have with 1.1 is having to restart for each mission.

Offline my campaign text is Russian I don't have the english fix which I wonder if that is causing problems?

Also my controls all stay the same.

Yep,clean install patched to 4.08 then the 1.1
It wasn't always like this, these probs only started a few weeks ago.Except the custom skin probs (they show up in game,but not on playback) tried alsorts ie: clearcache0/skin download on/off :hmmm:.. I installed it over the soundmod.
The control issues should be solved now so the only remaining annoyance will be the loading times.:shifty:

Have you added any other mods to it? Also have any of you flown with Valantines squad as they use specfic parts of the mod but not all.

I don't know what the controls issue it.

The sound mod is included in 1.1 so no need to have that already.
they patched up to 1.1.1 but don't know what changed.

Sure will. Thing is on M4T there doesn't seem to be that many decent MP coop campaigns.Quite a few missions.

I think the Kuban campaign will satisfy most here since it contains some bombers as I learned recently. The only ones who might be disappointed are the members of the Spitfire fraction. There aren't any Spits in there I fear.
