Help! Can I change this?

First watch spotted an aircraft and a box came up asking if I wanted to Maintain current orders, Dive to periscope depth or engage. I ticked engage aircraft and also ticked the 'Always do this box'.

However I now realise this was not what I wanted I want to dive when aircraft are spotted but now. Can I change this?

My U-boat always engages now, not what I want at all!:cry:

I'm surprised you got it to work. Everytime I check that box nothing happens.

To answer your question just, uncheck the always box. :salute:

No, you can't uncheck the 'Always' box, because once it works you're locked in and it doesn't appear again!

It's simple, Tar&Feather: Once in-game, hit the Escape key. One of the options that will appear is 'Options'. Click on it, then click 'Reset Default Commands'. It will reset.

I used to wish that one of the options was 'Crash Dive', until I realized what would happen when my crew saw a plane in the Bay Of Biscay...:dead:

I just keep them all set to 'Maintain Current Orders'.

While in a patrol, hit <ESC>,
from the resultant menu select Options,
and on the resultant submenu select Reset Default Action.

Thanks every body for the help managed to get it changed OK. LOL! Those Swordfish are quite easy to shoot down but the others are suicide!

Hi Tar&Feather.

My name is rob, but in subsim it's robj250 (I think).
First of all, when I leave port, I put my men on Flak and click on Fire At Will, then if I am told "Detecting Rdar Signals" which usually means aircraft, or the box come up asking me if I want to fire at it, or maintain orders, I click on maintain orders, then I look to see what aircraft it is and it I want to taken them on I just let the game play, but if I want to dive, then I crash dive. Hope that helps. I NEVER check do this always.
