Damage to disc

Hi All
I have been away from SH3 for a couple of months but i notice a lot of scratches on my disc and i seem to have problems running it so a few questions
1. can i copy the SH3 disc and use only on this pc
2, will it affect the protection on it
3, cannot seem to get a copy over here,i will be changing my rig at the end of the year so it will more then likely be vista,so will their be issues ?

I clean and polish with a mild dish soap and luke warm water.

Final polish with a diluted silicone cleaner.

I also routinely open drawer and blow out minute dust out of dvd .

I want to add this works for small surface scratches caused by dusty dvd player. Not large scratches.

DVD players always get some dust in them that scratches dvd\cd disks. Use canned air to clean and a soft cloth to clean tray.

You can also purchase a spare disc via SubSim.

Also, nice advice re getting a replacement copy via SUBSIM :DL, helps
keep this place in the water so to speak.
