No Survivors?

hey... I play SH4 UBM with the TM1.7 enabled... my problem is the ships I sink spawn no survivor boats... this would be a nice feature. but nothing, not a single boat comes out of any ship i hit..... anybody have an idea of why does this happen?
Also, Id like to know if theres any filter to apply to SH4 for it to look grainy..kinda like the intro video...thanks

I do not use TMO but if I were to hazard a guess I would say they turned the survivor rate off in the Data/Sea/Nameofwhatevershipyouarelookingfor/ cfg file.

As for the grainy stuff try turning on the post process filters under graphics options.

if so that could be some how linked to the fact that there are no survivors.



i remember i rammed a junker and it exploded on contact... all that was left was this empty lifeboat... eerily floating around me boat.... some creepy ghost tale stuff right there boys. :arrgh!:

I´m running with TMO and i think there are lifeboats around. Only not as many as vanilla game and also not allways with sailors in them...

Well, it seems to be random at times, but in the case of troop transports it may or may not depend on the ship's destination and origin. Case in point, a speeding 18-knot European liner that I snagged on my first patrol in my new Gato spawned this:

Whereas the next liner that I sunk afterwards had zero survivors:

In the first case, I'm glad to see that I did my job right. Looks like those troops will be swimming home :D
