Chicago schools are finally starting to teach practical math that these kids can use in real-world situations!
It's about time schools adjusted their teaching methods to today's
circumstances!

Well done :O:

However, double check #9.

Wait, you're correct..

$700 / $25 = 28

so $5 per 5 rates = $25 a week, so multiply the $25 a week times the 28 weeks to equal the $700 in one week she earned.

28 weeks is also just over 26 weeks, which there are 52 weeks in a year.

Knowing that tidbit of information, multiply the 5 rats a week by 52 weeks in a year to come up with 260.

That means the snake eats 260 rats a year.

So 260 rats a year by $5 a rat equals $1300 on rats alone.

Using question number 5, she could feed her snake for a whole year by stealing 1 corvette for $1500 which would be more sufficient in the long run. So the $700 a week, multiplied by 52 weeks is $36,400 instead of $35,100 had she not stolen the corvette and had to pay out of her $700 week.

You forgot to take into account her $200 a day crack habit which cuts down her disposable income considerably.:D
