I'm confused, and kindof crabby.

So.. i think i'm having a bit of a problem with SH3...
Basically i have SH3 + SH3 commander installed.. I had just finished my 15th patrol the other night, it was epic.. i took out 2 convoy escorts (thats all there was) and than 9 out of 14 ships of a convoy, gets kindof easy when no ones hunting you.

HOWEVER... i go to load up my game today, open up SH3 Commander, it tells me my next patrol grid is, NULL. that cant be good... So i load up SH3....
Load my career, it says my Depart port is Will. (abbrv cuz i cant spell it) and my return port is Brest, with no patrol grid. hmm.. interesting, i load the mission, get in my sub.. check the map. I dont see a port by the name of Brest, this cant be good? i check, and double check.. and triple check.

I had figured it wanted me to change ports from Will.(abv) to Brest, and it wanted me to sail from one tot he other.. thats what i was hoping.. but i don't see it.

Also, the only thing i can do at the "Office" screen is, edit my crew, realism/options, the mission screen, and.. thats about it, i cant edit my U-boat, or anything. Sadly, last night i had saved right before hitting the convoy i devestated... i REALLY dont feel like reloading it, and possibly missing the chance for that convoy again, i'd like to continue on.. Anyone encounter this problem before? Anyway to fix it?

Brest is South of Britain on tip of north West Coast of Europe. Look near the western part of the english channel and a little bit down from there.

I've heard of this problem before but don't remember all the details. IIRC when you get a null patrol you can use SH3 Commander to select a new patrol grid. Then after patrol go to Brest. Your in Wilhelmshaven now. Meet me at the local pub there.:D

They must have seen my awesomeness at my last patrol, and sent me to take over a whole British port,.. hmm.. i'll do it! I really will!
lol, and yea i was considering changing the patrol grid to something, and just going on my normal business.. but, i dont wanna screw my career up even more than it may already be..

I'll be at the pub in Wilhelmshaven in an hour.. i'll need a brew or few to deal with this problem

Its probably when the flotillas moves to Brest soon and the game figures that Brest will be under German control by the end of your next patrol. I don't recall the exact dates.

You get the null grid and no updates to your boat because the game thinks your in other base then you should be, Brest. The base seems to have changed during your last patrol.
But it´s no problem, just go on patrol where ever you want, and then either go look for Brest, it will be there even if it does not show on the map. Or just hit exit and return to base when far from any shore or other ship, 50km or so, and the game will place you in the right port.

It´s an old stock bug, the order to go to Brest comes before Brest shows on the map.
