Sorry...but NO! Michelle Obama ISN'T Jackie Kennedy.

She won't EVER...in a million years...be a class act like JqK was either.

I've had my fill of this misplaced adulation crap, frankly. Enough!

--------

Jackie Kennedy stood by in attendance....with her husband's blood splattered all over her suit...as the man who would replace her husband (LBJ), for the good of the nation--her nation--was sworn into office. This fine woman GAVE that awful day to all the rest of us...of herself...and for the good of her country...in what must have been a time of unimaginable distress. I cannot even imagine what depth of courage this required.

And yet still...she stood up, for all the rest of us (I myself was only a child back then).

Magnificent stuff. JqK was, on this day, a true Patriot, and even if she was so dazed in that moment that she couldn't see heads from tails.

-------

Now...contrast that with what we saw...last September. 9-11 (2008).

On THAT day...a day that had become VITALLY important for the collective consciousness of our nation, Michelle Obama couldn't even be bothered...

...to show up at Ground Zero for the memorial service for the victims. John McCain was there. Cindy McCain was there. Even her husband was there. But the "great lady" herself? Hell no...she couldn't take the time. She had other things to do.

She couldn't even be bothered to "send an e-mail."

And why? She was just home...with her children. To hell with her country--she decided (on THIS day) to take a day off.

-----------

And so: Michelle Obama? They'd SERIOUSLY have me believe she's the next coming of Jackie Kennedy? I really think I might die laughing...

...out loud. LOL!

Hardly. Not in this universe...

...or any other.

No. Michelle has no chops...no props (worth mentioning)...

...and absolutely no honor or integrity at all.

She's merely a "Bitch." At best.

Hilarious. You must work with Tribesman coordinating your collective "schtick."

Know, however, that your efforts are wasted on true patriots. Know that they are equally wasted on those who might be curious...and want to listen.

Know that your efforts are worthy of nothing more than the inside of a cave...

Or even somewhere in the "Ruins of Europe." You are a good example of why the EU is toast.

And know, too, that *whatever else happens* you are now "zeroed." :D

Allso you try to shift the burden of proof to Tribesman to provide evidence that your OP is nothing but tripe, but you came out iwht the assertion and you need to provide evidence for its truthfulnes.

If YOUR rejoinder takes root (and flourishes), then I'll know for certain that real intelligence is truly dead (so I'll let it lie...contribute, populace, as u see fit--I want to see reality.)

I,for one, am willing to roll the dice on this one. If I lose, I'll KNOW that real (useful) intelligence is dead. And that there is no point it wishing otherwise.

Was "I'll find you" a stupid threat on my part? Yes, Certainly. I won't apologize for it, however, except to acknowledge that it was misplaced.

I simply forgot which venue I was posting in. I normally spend most of my time racing cars online, and when one of us says "I'll find you" over there, it quite literally means "I will make it a point to make my displeasure known to you in the next race." Such was my thinking last night, although obviously operating then in the wrong arena.

Clearly that sort of thing is not an option here, no, and so the "threat" is clearly just as meaningless here.

Laugh it up and be done with it.

-----

None of which changes...in the least...my opinion of Michelle Obama. I will say only, by way of followup, that America deserves whatever happens to it now. Not individuals (my sympathies STILL lie with those who voted for the opposition), but the electorate as a whole? Certainly.

And the rest of the world too.

Finally got around reading the whole thread and all I have to say is: Christopher, you are an idiot. You also seem to suffer from somekind of superiority complex as AKE already pointed out. As for your 'MO wasnt at ground zero yadda yaaa" part, do you also think that every countryman that didnt be there then, are also unpatriotic "bitches"?

And lastly, I think your personal attack at AKE was uncalled for, which thus goes to show your incompetency to talk about something and considering there might be more point of views on the subject than that of your's.

Snow, stick around. I agree with your overall observations of MO, but to get overly upset about it is not worth it. The very fact that MO stated after her Hubby was delegated as the democratic nominee, "This is the first time I have been proud of my Country..." show the shallowness of th woman and questions her patriotism to the bone. Learn to base your argument with some tactfullness and keep the threats at bay. You will have plenty of liberal mindedness void of gray matter to contend with in life. How you play the game is the key to victory.:salute:

So while you are educating yourself on punctuation perhaps you can educate yourself on the meaning of the word "fact" too .

You will have plenty of liberal mindedness void of gray matter to contend with in life.

Well then, provide what IYO you think MO said if I am wrong? If pride for her Country is based only on how well her husband does politically I think it represents a shallowness on her part. The comparison between her and Jacky are two different leagues. I do not like lawyers for starters and I do not like them in any political office. Whether their names are Clinton or Obama.

Well then, provide what IYO you think MO said if I am wrong?
So do you mean these words

"for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback."
or these

"For the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm really proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."
Both of which show she has patriotism not the blind "my country right or wrong" patriotism which is really very unpatriotic .
So Frame would you be truly proud of a country where the colour of your skin can be a major factor in determining your suitability for a position?
Its funny really with the Kennedy comparrison since an issue over his selection as a candidate the position was would Americans really vote for a Catholic to be president .

Frame57
04-04-09, 01:27 PM
So then was she not proud of DR. King and his work for civil rights? Was she not proud of America's role in WW2. I garnered pride for my Country while learning history as a kid. I have nothing against her statement other than the "First time..." bit. Which is what I was driving at and presents no contradiction with my original statement at all. Our Government has made many bad choices of which I am not proud of. But that is the government, NOT MY COUNTRY....

Tribesman
04-04-09, 01:59 PM
So then was she not proud of DR. King and his work for civil rights?
Both she and her husband have stated that the civil rights movement failed to deliver .

But that is the government, NOT MY COUNTRY....
And even Laura Bush at the time said it was obvious that MO was talking about the government and the selection process and that certain elements were trying to misrepresent what was said , which is funny since if you take a source from that time that was out to attack the "liberal wave" that is taking over the good ol' USA like news buster then you find that their comments about what MO said pretty much exactly match yours , though you should add the winning the Cold War and giving money to charities to your WW2 bit for good measure .

Dang you are like a dog that likes to keep humping a leg even after he has been kicked. OK, seeing that you are obsessed with my superior intellect, let's play. But first put down the pot pipe or whatever you are smoking. For starters it was your good buddy not mine Jimmy Carter who entrenched us into a far worse economy than what is going on even now. The Regan years were the smartest. Was money spent? Sure but it led to almost 2 decades of a terrific economy. Trickle down economics is smart because it gives investors who have Capital to create wealth by creating jobs. It does not punish a motivated society but rather rewards it. The trickle poverty method that most insane liberals embrace is just the opposite. (Are you done with your doobie? Because I know this is hard to get if your brain is foggy) Their brand of economics punishes performance and will not lead to a strong workforce. It will lead to a form of socialism that represents most of europe. But you see, my two digit midget friend, you cannot see that because all you have know is trickle up poverty and it is the norm for you. So you being on the outside of the pale are trying to make political/economic judgements on something you know nothing about.

Getting back to the issue of Dr. King. I never said that he produced a finished product, but all Black people should be proud of what he did and what he stood for. I think most are with the exception of your Idols BO and MO. OK, that should do for today, now you can go back to guzzling Guiness and hittin the water bong. all Black people should be proud of what he did and what he stood for.
So excuse me massa Frame but what did MLK stand for before he was murdered ? Did the civil rights movement fail to deliver on that ? was the last piece of legislation MLK tried kicked to nowhere ?....
So when the Obamas made their comments were they slagging off MLL or were they making comments about the failures of the civil rights movement?

Or I ask again, have you even the faintest idea what you are talking about ?

Now I might say that your rants about your service are the kind of thing one normally associates with the catering or logistics crowd , but hey service is service and even a complete tosspot like my parish priest put in 12 tours

I think most are with the exception of your Idols BO and MO. OK,
You just don't get it do you , I suppose thats the junior infant mentality you have ,BO&MO ain't my idols . I despise them like I do all politicians or lawyers.....but I despise them on solid grounds not made up bull**** like you do.
Understand this (if you can ) I would support a dickhead like George Bush Junior if the accusations against him were complete bull****

So you being on the outside of the pale are trying to make political/economic judgements on something you know nothing about.

Well bugger me sideways paint me pink and call me Sandra , its the dickheads in the pale that have been feeding this collapse , its the clever buggers out west who wait 10 years laughing at the new "millionaires" before we clean up . We make he same killing under "free market" Fianna Fail as we did under that stupid cow Thatcher . Perhaps if you had thought a little and planned ahead you could be buying up half of Milwaukee .

04-05-09, 07:34 PM
Well my fanatical friend what I realize is that you are crying out for help. It is OK. Were buds here. Just do not let anyone put you any psychotropics. Education is your best friend. You may not know this but many streets in many cities have been named after MLK as well as schools and parks. This is in honor of the man. He was an honorable historical figure in the history of America, one that all Americans should be proud of. If that sounds like bigotry to you then all I can say is you are someday heading for a room with a nice padded cell. One of the finest Engineers I knew is Anthony Watkins. He was a nuclear trained engineer on the Archerfish and he went on to make Vice Admiral. That would never have happened in the 40's or even the 50's. So I would say that the civil rights movement has been effective. The very fact that America has its first Black President is also proof of this. What in your atrophied gray matter would indicate otherwise?
