I am on a Lifeguard mission and My boat is stopped between 2 friendly aviators, who are bobbing on the sea within a few yards. Nothing happens. They do not paddle to the sub, and nobody on the sub throws a line to them. It is just a standoff.
Question is, how do I carry out the rescue?

Telemachus Pilots can fly but can't swim. :haha:
You have to go to the bridge and center one in your binoculars and on the
bridge menu the third icon from the right will say rescue survivors, when it highlights click on it and this will pick up your aviator. Do it again if there is more than one. When you get them all the smoke will go away. This can be pretty tricky at times but you just have to stick with it.
If you are too close you may have to back off a little.
If you look around that area you just may find a very interesting IJN task force. Its kind of a turkey shoot. 5 carriers and no close escorts.
Good luck. Welcome to SubSim.

I always used the 40mm AA gun. Never could figure out why the Admiral was so mad.:hmmm:

Yup, I allways gun the downed japs thu, but unfortunally I never seem to hit the mings and its just a waiste of ammo... Tried to run them over but that rubber boat they sit in allways slip away... :)
They should have implantet a POW capture and take them back to a friendly harbour to question them, but then again, the uboat have no extra room for them, let alone food... so it's maybe the best sulution afer all... If not we where bound to be war criminals all of us I think.. he he .)

Thanks, Magic, for the solution. Et alia for the humor.
