:har:
iirc it was our home secretary who was all for making 'violent' pornography or porn that depicts 'staged violent acts' (made by consenting adults) an offence to possess or watch.
BDSM is not my cup of tea, but I'm sure it is for some who have no sinister motives other than getting their rocks off with, or by watching other consenting adults.
Ms Smith had given her husband a "real ear-bashing". oh really, was it just his ear she was bashing? :O:
This woman never ceases to amuse me. For someone occupying the position of home secretary she sure leaves a lot to be desired.
Jacqui Smith said in a statement: "I'm sorry that in claiming for my internet connection, I mistakenly claimed for a television package alongside it. This seems like a fairly stupid mistake to make; I'd have thought she would have at least read the terms and conditions of the service she was buying especially if she was intending to claim it back on Mp's expenses.
When you view this alongside her sketchy use of the second homes allowance, for which she is currently under investigation by the parliamentary commissioner for standards. Using taxpayer funded allowances for a second home while living with her sister, no less.
I'm inclined to agree with this chap:
Conservative MP Mark Field told the BBC: "I'm obviously glad Jacqui Smith has decided to act quickly and repay, I'd also like her to act as quickly and repay the second home allowances that she's also taken.
"She says it's all within the rules, which I'm sure is right... but the reality is it's not within the spirit of the rules.
"If she doesn't recognise that I think she's really a bit too stupid to be Home Secretary."
