Thought I'd try out the local brews when I first got here.
"Chu hi" is really cheap and has wonderful flavours like green apple and lemon and lime-imagine an actually drinkable wine cooler / pre mixed drink.
At about $10 for a six pack of 500ml cans, around 8% alchohol and tasting great, I drank several six packs thinking "THIS STUFF IS F%*^(ING GREAT!

Alas, there has to be a catch.....the ravaging, starved ferret unleashed inside my skull the next morning weighed in at 14kgs. Second worst hangover ever....

You both best stick to Babycham in the future :DL

http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/3732/babycham.jpg (http://img259.imageshack.us/my.php?image=babycham.jpg)

...A nippers first taste of glamour was Babycham. It first appeared in 1953 and came in a tiny, dark-brown bottle with a sky-blue label and a cap with matching foil. Inside was a pale-gold fizzy drink that looked like Champagne, tasted vaguely like it, and was described with the wonderful freedom of advertising in those days as 'Genuine Champagne Perry', whatever that is..

..Its trademark was a baby deer, with spindly legs, protruding eyes, two underdeveloped horns, and an outsize blue bow around its neck. In its first cinema and TV ads, this smiling creature pranced through the air on a cloud of stardust to land on the open palm of an elegant mannequin. "I'd love a Babycham," she exclaimed in tones both demure and suggestive, implying that, as well as sipping the bubbly nectar, she would lavish kisses, hugs and who knew what else on her horny little visitor...

...Babycham brought an early splash of feminism into the male-dominated pubs of postwar Britain. It was the first drink a woman could order without feeling like a tart or a crone..

..We're delighted to see this retro drink make a come back. Check your local supermarket for stock....

Well the problem is, it is just so easy to drink the normal number of beers with this one, and the 9% alc (you have it off by 1%) catches up to you like a freight train because its like drinking double the beer!

And for Jimbuna = I'll pass. Thanks.
