Unending Mission

Talk about being on Eternal Patrol. This mission refuses to end. Sent to patrol the Caroline Islands, accomplished objective and returned to starting base (Brisbane), only to find that the sold options were to REFIT or POSPONE docking. END PATROL was grayed out. So tried to return to Pearl. Same story. Back to Caroline Islands, where after patroling more, got a new assignment of reconning battleship harbor in another island chain. Did that, returned to Brisbane. Again, only a REFIT option. Went to Pearl and ditto. Yet, all my objectives are marked as COMPLETE.

Anybody know how to force an end to a patrol?

Try Fremantle sometimes you don't get Homeport shift notification also look for the tilted anchor icon:salute:

they almost dont give notification of your transfer to fremantle then after that they will mothball you along with the sub.. hapens almost everytime to me before i got rsrdc

you could try to save your game... and look to your save games ActiveCareer.upc
look in the line "CurrentFlotilla" your current home port will be indicated there..

BTW are you playing vanilla version of the campaign.. that suck..
better get RSRDC to improve your campaign...

Thanks, responders. Freemantle it is. An exhausted crew finally gets R&R. Yes, I am using the vanilla SH4. Getting ready to try the mods soon. Again, thanks to both of you. I will remember the tilted anchor tip, as well.

Be sure to check flash traffic. That's the way I've been told to shift homeports before. Sometimes they tell a fleet/task force to change home ports, and other times it's an entire class of boat (which probably means you'll get a new boat when you get to the base).
