Yeah, 60 years ago Charles de Gaulle showed the world what France stands for and what the republic truly means. Now this god damn American lover Sarkozy has jumped the gun and came crying back to papa. It is a truly sad day for Europe and for France.

When General de Gaulle announced to President Johnson that France was withdrawing from NATO one of his demands was that all American and British combat troops would have to leave French soil immediately.

Johnson was reported to have responded. "Including the ones buried in it?"
