Not only see but hear. Ive been to a couple of launches now and it is truely impressive, even from several miles away.
Probably one of the most impressive aspects is the long, thick, trail of smoke & tons of hydrocarbons trailing the spacecraft.

It was a very pretty launch IMO. But I would like watching it more if you could mute the announcer. :)
They should be doing their TPS inspection now I believe. RPM and docking tomorrow.

RPM in about 20 minutes, then docking. NASA TV is showing live footage from the station of Discovery's approach.
Final correction burn in 60 seconds.
