The Federal government has put so many restrictions on our law enforcement and border patrol that little if anything is being done. But this man rocks the boat and decides to uphold our constitutional laws and everybody goes after him. I am of firm belief that our immigration problem is and has been a longterm agenda of the policy makers in Washington.
I normally support law enforcement but everything i have read about this Arpaio guy shows him to be some kind of nut with a Napoleon complex.

Living in this mans county I can assure you that the liberal media is painting this guy to be Hitler. He is tough for sure but he upholds the law! He does this despite the political pressure for him to fold.
Found some actual decent media coverage of him!

So did he ever do anything to his deputies that burned that families house to the ground then laughed as they threw the family dog back into the flames right in front of the kids?

Do you actually beleive this stuff? If that had happened I can gurantee you he would not be the Sheriff of Maricopa county.

I have to wonder how accurate the story is. People will tend to exagerrate situations involving police. Possibly to access a law suit perhaps?

The Phoenix New Times is a liberal slander mag given for free at 7-11's. There stance is and has always been pro illegal immigration and they bash anybody or anything in the state government to oppress illegals rights to cross our border. They have been investigated by the county's attorneys office. Just read one copy and you can see there veiws are definately waaaay left.
I would not trust there veiws as un biased. Note in the same article that most major papers did little reporting on said incedent. Maybe because facts were scewed by the New Times to paint the Sheriffs office as idiots. Something they do alot. They had a recent article bashing the Federal ICE laws. calling for its removal.
So it may have happened, but it sure as heck didn happen like the New Times claims!

Yep! Happens all the time. Years back when I was home on leave a family up the block always had the cops showing up usually due to a drunken party that got out of hand. That night they had toooo much tequila and Bud and sure enough the cops showed up. They arrested a few with no trouble, but the Papa had to resist and try to fight the cops. They took him down to the ground and one cop had his foot on his back to keep him down. Nothing over the top occured. The next day the Mama wanted me to sign a statement confirming the cops kicked him in the head and were standing on his neck and so forth.... I told her no, because none of that happened. Well, who is to say if this is what occured in this case, but I would bet that the story has been embellished. Political agendas have targeted this albeit eccentric but effective Sheriff.
So it may have happened, but it sure as heck didn happen like the New Times claims!
I agree that the article had a definite bias but I was hoping you could tell me the true facts of the story.
