UN says US are 'deadbeats'...

I know most of you are going to say who cares, but I have to think to myself... who in the hell created the UN to begin with :hmmm:

Okay. Maybe we should quit the UN. Make them put their headquarters somewhere else. See how long it lasts.

Or leave the HQ where it is. Make them pay rent (or do they already?).

I don't know a lot of this, but it drives me crazy when I hear things like this.

No rent, in fact the US pays (or at least is supposed to) nearly 25% of the moneys.

Yea he backpeddled pretty hard once the Oministration brought down the hammer... albeit gently.


White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Ban's "word choice was unfortunate," given that the U.S. is the largest contributor to the United Nations.

A deadbeat is a person or group that is persistantly tardy in the payment of their debts .
So Ban Ki-moon was spot on with his words .
Funny how some people object when an accurate statement is made isn't it , kinda reminds me of Colonel Nathan Jessup...."You can't handle the truth!".

Unless of course someone wants to be foolish enough to try and claim that the US isn't always late with its payments to the UN which would make Bans statement about it being a deadbeat debtor untrue and as such a statement to complain about .
