Now I can honestly say I've seen everything.... Its apparently bad and unethical now to donate a goat to a struggling family in Africa. I think we should line up all these idiot environmentalists and put them in a closed off area so that they can keep their little section of the world green. Of course there would be no running water, no electricity, you must plant everything that you can eat (too many PETA people would have your head for eating an animal!), and of course, no engines of any sort!

They would all come running home to mommy.

The first one isn't enviromentalist. Its another animal cruelty issue, though it is a stupid argument. Better to just forget the pretense of the goat suffering, and just say that giving them some non-living meat would be better. The goat would die.\

As for coffins, I don't see why not. Saves resources. I suspect, nay, know that you guys will not feel as ambiguous as I do about it, just speaking my thoughts. Being dead is dead, and you coffin doesn't matter.

Good thoughts man. I read another article where the goats damaged the landscape. I think I need to add that as well.

Here is the latest crazy talk from the Pro Environmentalists!

The Five Year Ban: Because A Billion Less People Is A Great Place To Start

http://blogs.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-playing-field/200902/the-five-year-ban-because-a-billion-less-people-is-a-great-place-to-st

I wish he would get his facts straight, but that is glaringly insignificant to the major light that is like the freight train of this article.... His thoughts and ideas are strongly suggesting of a case of post traumatic stress disorder (almost schizo!) from his freaked-out-ness from over population, and this is from a blog on a phych website! Hahahahahahaha! :D :D :D :har: :haha:

Actually the guy is right. A billion less people would be a really good thing both for our species and our environment.

Yup I have to agree. Over population is a severe issue. But hey look on the bright side. The constant spur of over population is only going to lead to mass war and genocide! Sorry if I have offended, Not the happiest of thoughts but looking at humanity's record, most likely true.

I agree with population control too...and not ALL environmentalists or even animal rights-more correctly anti-cruelty to animals-people are crazy or wrong. Would you want to live next to a fellow who tortures animals for fun? More than one serial killer started that way. ;)

Many folks are looking for creative solutions to pollution and other such problems and I see nothing wrong with that. The crazy fringe like PETA,
Earth First, Plane Crazy (on the custard thread) et al are another issue. :damn:

A billion less people is a great idea. Maybe I could finally find somewhere to park.

True enough. Maybe if we started off limiting ourselves to 2 kids.....:timeout:

Interestingly, the rate of world population growth is slowing, although growth still exists. Some nations, such as Germany, have zero growth, and most developed nations a very low growth rate.

A bit Malthusian, perhaps, but I have a sneaking feeling that world population growth is probably self-regulating by definition - you can't have too many people - as they will just die, presumably of starvation.

There has been a Zero Population Growth movement for years. My wife and I only had two kids. But it's not something you can force on people, unless you are Chinese.

Not yet anyway.....:shifty:

Who knows what the future holds?

Remember the movie 'Logan's Run'? Population control by killing everyone when they turn 30.(I think that was the age)

Yep, 30 in the movie, only 21 in the book.

There was a TV movie here in the states about 1970, about an America where you had to get a license to have kids, and a couple on the run so they could have theirs. Don't remember the name.

The problem isn't that it isn't feasible, it is that as humans, the majority of us will see attempts at limiting primal behaviour in a hostile light. The US has a tiny pop. growth rate, while India and other developing nations of huge ones. Its their Industrial Revolution! And while it will bring them into the first world, the natural and human resources needed to do that is huge. Are we just going to say "Hey, stay where you are"? No one will listen. Truly, even we cannot suppress or innate desires.

No one out there know how to even fill the jobs that will eventually be left behind. They are turning to the Muslim world to fill the gap. France is in front on this part.
