I want the dev's on a strict schedule of daily Das Boot viewings between now and then so they include everything this time.

It will arrive,
lets hope the Dev Team see the Future of Gaming,
Multiplay,
As with the Best online Multiplay Games,
If the Dev Team can Bring back SH2 And Destroyer Command,
Intergrate them both to the Gameplay Of Today In Multiplay?
They will have a Winner,
Tough; but can be achieved,
Multiplay Sells More for all New Games,
Time for Silent Hunter To Surface,
Multiplay is the Future,
As Ripleys used to Say,
Believe It Or Not :arrgh!:

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for the PTO to be included as well.

I'm not. There's no way they can get a workable sim up to the quality of SH3/4 (much less significantly surpassing them-talking about the vanilla releases) within the 2-year dev cycle which they seem to be working with (assuming serious development-not preproduction-started sometime around the time that the SH4 expansion was finalized). Just not enough time if they are using "all-new" code. If it is out by this Christmas there's a good chance it will be half-finished and completely bug-infested. Hope it's not of course.

I don't like to be negative, but honestly speaking from my heart on this one.
If SH5 is handled by UBI in any way close to the way SH4 was handled, as far as management, marketing, budget constraints, especially in this economy, than i fear that its going to be an even bigger dissapointment then SH4 was.:nope: :nope: :nope: :damn: :damn: :damn:

If the game were perfect, there would be no need for mods. How dull!
The only reason SHIII is still active is the active interest of the modeling community and the multi player activity.

Ya...and how is that anymore different from SH3 and especially SH4??
I have been burned twice now... bought SH3 when it first came out and SH4... both needed patching just to be somewhat playable. IF not for GWX SH3 would have been off my hard drive a year after it came out, SH4 lived for about 2 months past the last patch and hasnt graced my hard drive since then....

No the only reason modders took such and active interest in SH 3 is it was a great concept, with a decent shell of programming, flawed by SO MANY obvious (maybe not obvious to the modders , but should have been to the devs) flaws that should have been fixed.
If GWX can be made to work as well as it does WITHOUT a SDK, could you imagine what could have been done WITH AN SDK?!!!

I approve this message!!!!
What I would like to see is GWX3 with todays graphics, that includes interactive crew within all compartments from bow to stern!:yeah: (Not asking for much!!:03:)

I am thrilled that they are putting together another SH. I am hoping this time they listen more to the community and truly deliver a fine sub sim. A more polished one as well would really help.
Going back to the Atlantic would be the highlight for me. U-boats hold, for me anyway, a more immersing experience. Fighting a losing battle against increasingly overwhelming odds really intensifies the sim.
