Flack exam

Guys, how to complete Flack training / exam? Things happen sooo fast in this mission. I prioritize, I select bombers, I select medium, I mark inbound, but no matter what the gunner shoots the planes swoop in from all directions too fast, first thing they damage the flack gun and then bomb out the boat. :)

I'm on GWX3.0/SH3Commander. Any recommendations?

The Flak Exam in GWX is designed to ruin your day. On the other hand you don't have to complete it. You get the full 1500 renown from just doing the Navigation Exam.

But, if you do want to complete the task, try this.
Order flank speed, set rudder to port or starboard, let your boat circle around.
Order your Flak gunner to shoot at closing targets, short range.
Put as many men in the repair team as possible and make sure they repair the Flak gun first.
After the first waves of planes order fire at medium range, closing targets, and then any target.
You will lose some men but it is the price you have to pay for this exam.

Personally I think the renown bonus for completing the Flak exam should be on the order of 10000 or so. :smug:

I think I've found the way out: set full forward and you can survive much longer. But your gunman's aiming suffers as well. We'll see yet if it gives enough chance to pass the exam. :)

I failed this exam also. But I did alright out there in the wide open ocean. Just avoid the planes.
