Interestingly enough, Utah also has one of the highest marriage rates per capita, per year, in the U.S. I wonder if that has something to do with it:hmmm:


edit-Oh, and the bit about "white people dancing" was very offensive. That woman's dancing is way better than mine :D

I had the pleasure of living in Utah when I was stationed at Hill. Utah is not as stuffy as may people think.

Yes indeed. Roughly 3% of Utah's 2.3 million are polygamists, or about 60,000.

I've got just about the most stereotypical view of Utah imaginable. Most of it gleaned from Orgazmo and Harrry Turtledove novels.

Utah is a truly beautiful state. It's just so..... weird. In a nice way.

I live in Washington state and spent most of my life outdoors so I am kinda jaded I guess,

I found Utah to be a very nice state. Lovely nature and the nicest most respectful people. Anyone could do a lot worse than living in Utah.

Perhaps out in the country things are different but in the large town like Ogden, life was good. :yeah:

Reminds me of a joke I heard years ago:

July 24, 1847. Brigham Young and the first pioneers arrive in the Salt Lake Valley. Brigham sends out scouts. When they report back he asks them what they found. Parley Pratt says "There's nothing out there but a huge lake. All we'll be able to do is fish and make babies."

Brigham thinks for a minute, and then says "I want you to go back down there and fill that lake up with salt!"
