View Full Version : Ouch, my ears!
You are about to hear the sickening sound of a Cessna accidentally landing gear up...from inside the cockpit.
I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that blaring horn is telling them the gear is up. So much for the sterile cockpit. I feel bad for them....:nope:

Did not know any of the R182's were flying. They are not all that common.
Looked like the pilot did the best he could. Gotta suck when you don't get the green.
Glad no one got hurt
Any landing you can crawl away from is a good landing.

you sure that beep beep wasent a marker beacon? Although it should have quit when he crossed the threshold if so.

I don't know what that beep was. It sure was not a stall warning
It was a marker, they also came in hot and steep, so I'm thing emergency landing.

They seemed pretty calm. I wonder if this was shot as a training video?
Having a hard time believing that a "regular person" could remain that calm and film an emergency landing like that.

Charles W. Baker Airport
USA January , 2007
From Paul Wingo:
"There was a snow storm approaching in about an hour and we were doing a check ride. Because of possible ice, we had been flying with the gear down the entire time. We started doing touch and goes after a while. Habit when you take off is to raise the gear. This is what happened. So, when we come around, they were conversing and what not and simply forgot the gear was up. The prop got bent up pretty bad along with the belly of the plane."
