Hi, well a lot of you probably know I have a new SM2433BW LCD screen and setting it up has been quite an education, though frustrating at times!:03:
I liked the old CRT for it's nice gloss black but that is hard to get with LCD screen adjustments, all the applications that are supplied just couldn't do it!!:hmmm:
The answer is really easy and if you haven't tried it your possibly missing out on something great!!:yep:
Just go to your graphics card color profile/setup & set the Gamma from 1.00 to 0.88 or thereabouts and check out the difference, for me it's like Wow!!:yeah:
The only problem I then faced was that when exiting from some games the gamma or color profile would revert to default and you would have to go to this tab again, won't have to set anything just going here sets it back! The answer to that is Powerstrip, a shareware program that covers both nvidia and ATI, has other goodies such as overclocking, OSD, hotkeys if you want, display profiles, color profiles, application profiles, Icon management, in fact you don't need ATI's CCC anymore, exiting games the desktop color profile is restored completely!

I was never a fan of ATI and it was because of the CCC program. Glad you are set up and enjoying a LCD screen. :DL
