Or, to give it its full title;
1607; Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime.
Has anyone else come across this, and if so, is there a solution?
Thanks
Incedentally, is it not ironic that the install program can't install itself?
A quick Google search found this.

I had all sorts of trouble with InstallShield and none of the suggestions helped. Finally I checked the installshield folder on my harddrive and deleted the key for SHIII it kept installing and reinstalling in my registry. :damn::damn::damn:
Apparently SHIII uses this program.
For whatever it's worth.:know:
Are you trying to install in Vista or XP, I assume XP, for what it's worth try running the installer in a compatibility mode like win98, might work!!:doh:

Yea and if in Vista try turning UAC off. Sometimes I have trouble installing and turn off UAC and that solves it.
