Type Of Submarine: used
Type Of Torpedos: dud
On closer inspection, it's either U-57, U-552, U-2513, U-794 or U-1406.
U-57 was a Type IIC, so it's not that, U-2513 was a Type XXI, U-794 was a Type XVIIA and U-1406 was a Type XVIIB. So none of them could be the u-boat in the picture, which leaves it to being U-552 under the Command of Erich Topp during the period of Dec 1940 to Sep 1942.
Torpedo? Erk..
Well, using the date as a guideline, it's probably not a T5 nor a T4, as neither those were yet in service, so it's either a T1, T2 or T3...and I'd say that given the darker center skin that it's most likely not a T1, so I'm reckoning once again on a T2, aka the G7e.
So that's the Type VIIC Uboat U-552 with a G7e torpedo.
