Wow, that looks like fun. A lot still look for Civil War items in the fields the battles took place here in the US. The use the metal detector though. Sometimes the bombs are not exploded and booooommmm when they start fussing with them. I guess that lake is full of things. I was interested in that German piece in the bow of the boat. :hmmm:

A chap near where I used to live was cutting down some old trees and mangled his chainsaw chain on a large piece of shrapnel, since we're not near any battlefields the only thing it could have come from was this which crashed nearby:

There is quite a bit of unexploded ordinance south of us though around the old Atomic Weapons Research Establishment, and the occasional German mine or US flare washes up on shore or gets stuck in a fishing boats net from time to time. I found an old US battery box whilst walking the dog years ago, took me a while to figure out what it was. :haha:

Just need the name of that lake in the video and big magnet! Was'nt a P-40 pulled from a lake in Russia not to long ago?

This lake is at the border area with Finland. There are few lakes there.

I suspect there are a lot of material to be found yet. My biggest fear would be unexploded bombs. Drop that magnet in or shove the shovel into the soil and whaaammmm. :o
