This amazing video shows in simple terms why the credit crisis is happening.

What I like about it is how it portrays those at fault in an equal light. Most are quick to fully place the blame on the system when atleast part of it belongs to those who thought it ok to take an outrageous loan.

What it is leaving out tho is how this crisis is smoking out the frauds and other baddies in the system which is causing a massive lack of confidence in investments.

a well done production which shows the problem exactly as it is.

The fed should have a minimum interest rate that they cant go below 4% for example.

it would be nice if the bank had the same (or similar) interest rate on MY money as they do on THEIRS as well.

I have seen savings account interest rates as low as 1.9% and lower

If you think about it... you're investing your money into the bank.

borrow THEIR money on the other hand... 7%... 8% interest or higher depending on your risk.

funny. those bankers and brokers are not nearly as smart as they like to think they are
