FuMO 29 Radar Question

From what's been written before on this forum I know that this radar isn't up to much but I thought for 250 renown I might as well give it a go. My only question is, does the crew manning the radio room call out contacts, should they be lucky enough to detect any with this radar, or do I have to man it myself and sweep +/- 15 degrees from dead ahead manually using the wheel to detect contacts?

In my experience the crew reports the contacts once they´re detected. The detection range though is not too great and the radar is at its best in bad weather conditions.

I agree with Mel.....try turning your boat in semi circles to obtain the widest coverage.

Remember when your radar is on the enemy can detect it,
You do not have to been seen to be detected.
