I'm sure this has been asked before, and i sure if i look I could find a post giving me all the information I need but I'm to lazy to look! So help me out.
Silent Hunter II had a time skip option, is there a mod or something for III that will do the samething. As sometimes i like to just get into the fight and not the three day trip to my patrol area.
Thanks guys!

SH2 never had a time skip option per se. It just had a scripted campaign game that plopped you down in the mid-Atlantic, mid-Caribbean, mid-Mediterranean, or wherever the next mission was set after you completed the mission before it. Since the sequenced canned missions were always the same it got rather stale with repeated play, which is why SH3 has a dynamic system where you start in port every time. If you wanna get in the fight quick with SH3 it's either time compression or one of the patrol missions.

I think there is a 'Drumbeat' scenario among the single patrol missions that puts you off the US east coast. But if you want to play career you have to slog your way there from France. :)

If you use SC3 Commander you can adjust the time compression settings, including raising the max above 1024 (I think 2048 is the max though).

Plus, on the way you'll likely have many encounters. I rarely get to the US coast with a full load. I often have to do a full re-up on a utanker before i get there. It's naval warfare: expect the unexpected:arrgh!:

There are a number of Single Missions off the E. coast of USA and Caribbean to keep you busy.
Useing SHC you can do even more with them.
