it's now '44 and i'm in 7th fleet from St. Naz. i recently sailed for an AM grid...but for some odd reason i can't get any speed out of my VIIC. usually i like the fast transit speed of 15 knots for the closer grids, but when i went into the alternate speed window this time and set speed for 15 knots it sets itself to ahead standard and struggles to hold 9 knots. if i set it to ahead max speed i get maybe 12 knots. this kills my fuel economy and makes my patrols take forever. i hope there is a reason for this, so thx for all the help

BTW i use SH3commander v3.2; GWX3.0 Gold

:hmmm: Hmmmm, you might have a saboteur among your technicians. On the other hand just ask your LI what the heck is going on with the diesels and if it can be fixed at sea.

Check SH3Commander and see if you have the malfuntions/sabotage box checked. I think that might be your problem. If you save the game and reload your engines might be fixed. Of course you might then spring a leak in the fuel tanks or the seal on your attack scope might break...

If you have malfunction/sabotage enabled in SH3 Commander, that's your culprit. Other symptoms may include foggy periscopes, low fuel stores, and incredibly tiny batteries. :yeah:

Edit: Heh, Nedlam beat me to it...

Do you have a full crew in the engine room? Try putting more experience in there.

Maybe he's recharging? I highly suspect it is a malfunction, if that isn't the case.

it fixed itself...probably just a random thing.
