Im trying to update my version of SH3 Commander to the latest verison and i keep getting an error message when trying to install. I keep getting the message that the grammophone wav file is corrupt. Can some give some tips on how to install this update please?
Thanks

I am not sure; if you have an old SH3CMDR install, have you added any files to the install? Any wave files to the nightclub? Did you roll back your install before installing the upgrade?
JSCones will be around in a while and get you straightened out, but he will be a bit grouchy if you haven't followed the install protocol.

Thanks for the heads up Irish. Ive managed to sort it out. I didnt roll back the SH3 files before uninstalling. By ignoring the error message SHC installed but none of my old saves worked. Just finished patrol one and loving the new logs much more immersion added!

In an unrelated question. This mod is referred to in the User Manual:
NewsMod/RadioMod
This mod works via SH3 Commander to give the player:
· Monthly news reports that appear when loading a patrol, and during the patrol.
· A map of Europe and the Mediterranean which updates based on the progress of the
war.
· Historical radio broadcasts that appear at their correct dates. These play via the
gramophone.
Is the Mod activated automatically? I cant see it in my JSGME list.Where are they in the game? Is the map the navigation map? Are the monthly reports the report you get as the patrol loads? I think i had my first radio report though!
Thanks

These files are loaded into the SHIII files by CMDR and needed. The radio broadcasts play via the gramophone, but they are played at random with all the other files in the gramophone folder, so many have never heard them.

JSCones will have to answer that one. I assume it is the map in SHIII and the CMDR updates the ports belonging to the Allies, Axis, and Neutral powers as the war progresses.
I am no computer expert and I have no idea how CMDR does it; it just gets done.

Tis not that map
The ports etc are controlled by the LND and defside cfg
Not sure what map Jaesen is refering to there

I'm pretty sure it's the actual game map, on which all the cities are colored according to their affinity. They change every month as countries go from neutral to enemy or friend.

The game map (Navigation screen) does change depending on the war situation. Red means ports of current enemies, green neutrals, blue Grossdeutschland

It's very easy to miss, but once you are aware of it you'll always notice when it changes.

Do tell! I read those reports every time I'm waiting for the game to load, and I never noticed the little thing either.
