Radar signals without radar equipment?

I'm playing GWX 3.0, for odd reason, my radar guy have been detecting radar signals on warships during early war, even without radar equipments. I thought radar wasn't available until later like in 43, I'm in 41 btw. Is this bug? Would escorts detect me in same way even they don't have radar equipment? I remember radar guy was detecting battleship Tripitz when I was leaving port in 40's too, it showed black line from my ship on map. Any explanation?

Radar was available as early as 1941, however it was not commonplace until mid to late war years.

Chances are... if you have a radar warning receiver, the radar has already been around for some time?

perhaps you have the "late war sensors" mod enabled or something?

You're right, I had late war sensors mod enabled. Now I know what the mystery is coming from. Thanks.

must have been it... i think somewhere in the manual it says no to enable it until a certain year :yep:
