Seriously now, am i the only one losing so many radio and sonar men?
I mean, i get DCed? The radiomen die. A plane is attacking? A radioman and sometimes both, die. I collide with other ships? Sometimes they DO die! (Yes, i DO slam my ship to wounded ships to finish them off, sometimes even at DDs passing above. Its an awesome way to sink em without using eels!).
In a few words, whenever i recieve some considerable amount of damage, my radiomen die.
Well, most of the time...
But still...:damn:

Perhaps the tommies have invented some new fangled bomb/DC that homes in on radio beacons, very accurately of course!

Tell your radioman to lie down and relax. It's being radio active that's killing him.

It's probably just a curse on your ship. Think Socko and his 1WOs

Do you expect any urgent radio transmissions while attacking - or being attacked?

I'd send him to the engines room whenever a ramming manoeuvre is necessary.:DL

And refuse next time to let him install a porthole for 'increasing his working conditions'...

Y'all just keep joking, but first ones to die wherever my boat gets hit are radio and sonar man. This is too suspect, I know they were first to go crazy, but to go dead?

When you receive non specific damage (unlike a shell impact to the bow, which would obviously register as bow or tube damage) the game defaults to the centre compartment.

But isnt it the helm station supposed to be the center of the boat?
And besides that, how is this non specific damage supposed to be "piercing" enough to kill my crew if its "non specific"?

Alls I can suggest is be more cautious....

with me... its my flak gunners that always snuff it! Yes... I do fight it out with aircraft for that extra challenge.
