Confusion reigns as California braces for government shutdown Friday (http://www.mercurynews.com/politics/ci_11639661)

I hope they did not include the Dept. of Corrections in their furlough plan. :DL

Some California counties are threatening a "tax revolt" against the state in retaliation. That is, they will refuse to send their tax receipts on to the state. And then the state would retaliate against that by refusing to give the counties their share of sales taxes. You see how it's going. No one wants to pay, but they want to get paid.

The Democratic flagship is sinking again? No worries liberals, your socialist system needs just a little more tweaking and it will make a perfect state. If only you could get those evil conservatives to stop ruining everything.......

Yes indeed! Prisoners will be furloughed one day a week as long as they promise to return to jail. Why would this not surprise me if it happened???

Strange thing is that Arnold has an R next to his name.

Well hope they all enjoy their day off.

Wonder how many went to work anyway out of the goodness of their heart. :hmmm:
