Hey guys,
I've been having some problems with my laptop battery recently. I noticed a while ago that even when plugged in, the status readout read "97% Not Charging", but I thought nothing of it (I very rarely have it on battery power anyway)
Then, a few days ago, I picked up the laptop, and it turned itself off. I know I didnt press any buttons by mistake, it just went "Byoooo". I tried to turn the thing on again, and at first, it worked fine, I could log in, and the desktop displayed as normal. Then, the battery readout appeared, and for a split second read "0%" and the laptop again turned itself off.
It works fine with the battery removed, but I'd like to know what the hell could've happened to make the battery drain itself so quickly, and not charge again?
The laptop model is an Advent 111C (I think, the labels arent on there anymore) and I dont believe it's even a year old. The battery model is an LG Rechargeable Li-lon battery with a 14.4 Vdc rating. (If that helps any)
Any ideas?
