Dive Bombers In Training (GWX)

I like to test various damage models in the flak academy traing mission in GWX. You do get pounded pretty good there by bombs but only by the swordfish biplanes.

I noticed that the Hurricanes like to come screaming down on you and hit you with cannons very well but they NEVER hit with the bombs that they drop. I have played this at least 50 times and they always drop long it seems. I am not sure if this is a GWX thing as I always am using GWX and have not tested outside this.

...or is it just a training academy thing? A strange quirk like the trawler in the convoy training mission? (the one that attacks the DD for attacking you)

Anyone ever get hit directly by a diving fighter/bomber in the game?

Yes, often to begin with.....but now I skip academy/training classes.

Maybe the Hurricanes are moving too fast or something? Perhaps the swordfish are just better? Go look at the training missions through mission editor and check if the skill levels are different. Career Hurricanes have never missed for me :cry:

the hurricane is a fighter and the swordfish is slow and is a bomber. also you can never win because the planes shoot each ofther down!

No. They both carry depth charges (or just normal bombs) and the Hurricanes always miss him. I've never seen planes suddenly wipe each other out, only ships:hmm:
