Couldn't believe it when I read this story: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,481986,00.html
Workers cleaning up the Hanford Site, a huge decommissioned nuclear research facility in southeastern Washington state, came across an old safe buried in a pit.
Cracking it open, they found a glass bottle — which turned out to contain plutonium made for the Manhattan Project in 1945.
Sounds almost like something from a Hollywood script. Just crazy. :o

A decomissioned research facility isnt exactly a 'dump'.

So write in to Fox News and tell them that. I'm simply quoting from their article.

Dang, with all the Fox news comments around you would have thougth they left the Plutonium 239 buried.
Sheesh, give a rest gents Fox news is a company trying to make some money reporting in a fashion causing a targeted audience buy their product. As long as the format works and they're raking in the bucks they'll run with it. Just like all the others do they find an audience, feed them what they want to hear and they get your money. They will I suppose try to tell the truth but I think only to the extent their target audience believe's it. Keeps up controversy, the sheep tuned in and shelling out cash.
The cash being spent on products sold to you a mile a minute during the commercial breaks. These guys do will whatever it takes to keep you wrapped around their finger.
And yes I know governments/politicians throughout the world have used them too to sway opinion as well. It's no different here in the U.S. than in your country. Even here in the U.S. they have become more politically directed. But in the end they're out making money because thats what works.
Start tuning these guys out and they will soon find out what makes you tick and adjust their format and you will be back.

I always laugh at these news articles when they say something like "Deadly Airliner Crash" or "Man Suffers Fatal 300 Ft. Fall". Well, pretty much any airliner crash has a casualty and I'm not familar with too many people who've survived a 300 foot fall...
