I think I am suffering weird anomalies from downloading the 181.20 drivers for my video card. I have Driver Cleaner Pro (free version) that I downloaded a couple years ago. Will it still work on the latest drivers? With the list in the screenshot, what do I select to remove only the display drivers? My motherboard uses nVidia nForce4 Ultra chipset drivers. I want to see if my problems are software related or if my stupid video card is screwed. :damn:

I can't say for sure it will work - but it should. It scans the registry and the files to determine dependencies and removes them all.
The Nvidia entry and the NForce entry should go. Also you need to get hte Matrox Graphics entry out unless your running a really weird setup.
The other option is to just download the nvidia driver removal tool and run it.

Where can I find the nVidia driver removal tool? I checked the nVidia site but couldn't find anything.

Here is one you can use - I could have sworn Nvidia made their own. Suprised they dont.
Honestly, I think you would be fine just uninstalling from the control panel and then reboot - then reinstall the driver set you want to use. Current installs seem to have resolved old problems of older files. If you really want to be sure - do the uninstall, reboot to safe mode, then reinstall. This keeps any old driver files from being loaded so they can be overwritten.

Thanks for the link and tip. My head's still spinning as to what the issue could be. After reading a thread on the nVidia forums I think it may be related to the drivers. There are multitudes of people with nVidia cards that sound like they are having problems similar to me. Here is the thread if anyone's interested:
