...and I think the mod must be broken. Am I even supposed to SEE ten ships?

I sank 11 last patrol, but I had to refuel/rearm as I was not gonna make it to Midway. Just put in, they gave me the MOH, too, lol. 59k tons, 100% (RSRDC with RFB).

I finished a few off with the DG, the last being a big mistake. I checked her out, no guns, and was behind her chasing her down slamming DG rounds into her (the sea was like glass). I came up along side, stil hitting her, now within maybe 300 yards. As I came past the funnel, the AA gun opened up. I had 3 men wounded pretty badly, one died :(

I had a similar total. Over 60K tons, thanks to a big tanker...got excited when I saw her. She's the single biggest ship I've seen since I installed the mod.

Sounds like you're using RFB. I haven't taken the plunge yet. I'm a deck gun addict, and while I tend to use it realistically, waiting so long to fire the next round seems a bit tedious to me. I do like the idea of the AA guns being something you have to watch out for, though...if only I could suppress their gunners with mine.:D

The new damnage model for the sub alone makes RFB great.

I'm not seeing the DG issues, frankly. If it really bugs you, alter the deck gun sim files in RFB with S3D.

There was a time when making little changes might have been confusing, but with S3D, I could show my 5YO daughter how to mod stuff. It's literally changing the reload time entry on the DGs, pretty trivial.

As I said though, I've had 4 gun engagements in the last patrol, and I'm not seeing the horror of the DG, lol.
