Greetings

Just re-installed SH3, patched it and then installed GWX 3.0. Before starting a real campaign I decided to try some single missions starting with "Gibraltar", but the game freezes when the loading bar has reached to the end.
EDIT: Seems like sometimes the loading bar doesn't even get all the way to the end.

Is it because of the mods and do I have to disable some of them? Please help.

It probably is the mods. I tested every mission in GWX3.0 and they all loaded fine on my computer. Disable all your mods and then add them back one by one.
If you want to get technical, you might try to see what mods include the menu_1024_768 file and disable this or these first.

Is it freezing or still loading ???
If first time you have run SH3 with GWX then will have a long load time
Seems to freeze near the end but wait and will load

Unless it actually does freeze :hmm:

I have posted about the same problem; Jimbuna helped me out quite a while ago. Atlhough the game seems to freeze (you don't see any activity at all, no flashing lights for HDD, no sounds nothing except a game that appears to be dead)

The solution is simple: give it a couple of minutes: I'm pretty sure that a bit more patience will do the trick. Brew some tea or pop a cold one and when you return your crew will we waiting for you.

Nah Manner, alles klar? Jawohl Herr KaLeun!:arrgh!:

Patience is the better part of Valor :D

You will enjoy the single missions alot.

Also it's the best place to practice Manual Targeting and Convoy Approaches without screwing up your Campain. :yep:

Btw ShadowMan Welcome Aboard.

Im not trying to be disrespectful here Shadow as I know the load times are longer than most...

But who here remembers the days of Silent Service on the Commodore 64 with the 5" 1/4 floppies (yes the floppy disks were 5 and 1/4 inches big)?? It took like what 10 min to load LOL kids these days   no patience. Ahh 1984...those were the years!

If you are just going to play missions, use the rapid mission loader.http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=103633
by MushMartin, although it might not work with some of the GWX missions.

Ahh 1984...those were the years!Yeah, and what about waiting for a cassete tape to get loaded into your old MSX/ZX-Spectrum/Commodore. Double that time. 'Floppy'-people were lucky. Oh well, sailing is slow business. Might as wel start counting waves instead of sheep.

Hmmm... when it comes to Commodore I can only remember playing Giana Sisters, Cybernoid 2 and Ace 2.

*sigh* Good times...
