Been a long time since the VC was awarded to anyone. Incredible bravery by the soldier to do that for his fellow soldiers and the afghan translator.

Not quite true falk, there were a couple i believe awrded to poms from early on in the iraq piece.

Johnson Beharry received the Victoria cross in 2005 for actions in Iraq in 2004
