Fast Attack Crash: FileWrite cant open file . . .

Hello folks,

I am trying to get the old Fast Attack Game to work with DosBox .72. I am using the files from a folder on my computer -- the install from the disc gives me a cycic redundancy error :(

So it is a little funny but all the components are there but after i click past the mision screen and click accept, I get this error:

ERROR: opening File -- FileWrite: Can't open file . . .
Program Aborted.
hit any key to continue.

I know it is a long shot but does anyone know how to get around this? I really really want to give this game a try again after reading Red october. I love the game and want to dust it off.

I have the original CD but I cant get it to install without a cycic redundancy failure . . (dont know what thats about). Does anyone have any ideas?

Finaly got it to work. The only thing I did was grant full access to all users. (in vista but I was having the problem in my XP version too.) its kindof flukey tha tit wouldnt work in xp either but ill take it working. If anyone else is having this problem check permissions and read onyl status of the files. . . not even sure if this is what fixed it.

Good luck, Kielvon! I was not aware of the kind of error you mentioned initially. But glad that your method is now working since changing the permissions selection in Windows. I think the sim is worth the trouble to get it running once again.
